ISBN
The purpose of an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) is to establish and identify one title or edition of a book from another. An ISBN allows for more efficient marketing to those wishing to purchase your book, and ensures maximum discoverability. We will register your book with Bowker, the exclusive U.S. ISBN agency, and purchase a separate ISBN for all version and editions of your book. It must be purchases for your book before it is printed or published as an e-book.
LCCN
The Library of Congress Control Number (LCCN) is an identification number that is assigned when a book is added to the national collections. It is a number that many libraries and commercial suppliers use to locate a specific record in the national databases. We will create an account with the Library of Congress on your behalf and request your book’s LCCN, but you must have your ISBN before the LCCN is ordered.
U.S. Copyright
When you register your book with the U.S. Copyright Office, you are protecting your work and intellectual property. For example, a copyright would afford an extra level of protection should you ever have to take someone to court for plagiarism. Before your book is available for purchase, we will register it with the U.S. Copyright Office by submitting all the necessary forms and a copy of your book on your behalf. Upon successful registration, they will mail a copy of your copyright certificate.
